Lundar Early Years School
Learning together in a caring community
LEYS is a small school of 70 students, Kindergarten to grade 4 located in Lundar, Manitoba. We pride ourselves on being a close-knit community where all students and staff know each other. We have many whole school activities throughout the year that celebrate learning and togetherness.
Lundar Early Years School believes in educating the whole child. We teach academics but also teach about being good citizens in our school and in our community.
Who We Are:
We are a Kindergarten – Grade 4 school. Currently, we have 5 teachers and 6 Educational Assistants. Our class sizes are small with 20 students being the largest.
Everyone knows everyone in our school, and we truly feel that we are a family.
In our regular classes and in guidance classes students are given the language to talk out their problems with each other so that our communication is clear and our relationships get stronger.
We are a community that learns together
Programming to highlight:
- Speech/Language services
- Occupational and physical therapist within the division that work with our students
- Daily physical educational classes as we know that an active body helps keep our minds active as well.
- Choir practices.
- Whole school assemblies to highlight special activities going on in our school such as Orange Shirt Day, Terry Fox run, Halloween, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, and I love to read month.
- Breakfast program
